Nothing humbles you faster than having to reply to your own email with “oops, here it is.”

That panic follow-up email: “please find the attachment this time” 😂

If you use outlook (classic at least, Idk if this works on the modern one), put the phrase “attached above” and it will remind you to attach whatever it is you were trying to attach before you send it

I am the person who checks the attachment 10x just i case I accidentally selected an improper meme or some shit

yeah, and then I have to send a reply attaching the file

I think it is safe to say that we’ve all been there. 🙂
My method:
New mail -> no receiver address typed in yet in case you click the send button accidentally before finishing it -> ATTACH FILES -> create body text -> create headline -> add address(es) -> send mail

This is why i have a 1 minute send delay, i always think of stuff after hit send

I always write “please find attached” and my email programme will remind me if I try to hit send with an attachment missing. It’s saved me a few times when I’m firing emails off very quickly.

You haven’t truly lived until you’ve sent the ‘Oops, here it is!’ follow-up email before the first one even finished landing in their inbox.

I remember seeing this meme in 2005.

That 0.7 seconds between hitting send and remembering the attachment takes 12 years off your life.

gmail has this safeguard in place for when you mention “attached” in the email body but actually fail to attach anything, it’ll flag it to you. Also, another life-saver, you can make it so in Gmail that you have 30 seconds to unsend an email. Look up “gmail unsend 30 seconds”. I guess other email service providers offer similar features.
